Two of my great loves—celebrities and wine. Drinking a glass of wine from a celebrity winery while reading the latest issue of Us Weekly = Happiness, so I’ve put together a list of my favorite celebrity-made wines.
Red. Dreaming Tree Cabernet Sauvignon made by Dave Matthews tops the list as one of my favorite celebrity-made wines. It’s the wine I want to drink alone, with my boyfriend, with my girlfriends or with a stranger—it’s like the green eggs and ham of wine (I will drink it in a house or with a mouse). Aside from loving the way it tastes, I also love Dave Matthews’ philosophy on wine: “If it tastes good to you then it’s good wine.”
White. Drew Barrymore made friends with an alien as a child, married a man that sang a song about his bum being on all sorts of different items, and she was one of Charlie’s Angels. Yeah, she’s pretty awesome. So why would I expect any less of her Pinot Grigio? The Barrymore Pinot Grigio tastes crisp and delicious, has a pretty label, and costs less than $20. Might I suggest pairing this wine with one of my all-time favorite Drew movies, “Never Been Kissed.”
Rosé. Bethenny Frankel is by far one of my favorite housewives in the Bravo franchise. She loves her cocktails, and she makes sure they are under 100 calories! I realize that drinking three to four glasses of the Skinny Girl Rosé and then eating an entire sleeve of crackers with some brie is not on the Skinny Girl diet. However, it’s still my favorite girls-night-in activity, along with gossiping about men, Amanda Bynes and our never-ending diets (those are normally discussed when the plate is empty).
And now for the celebrity wines I’m too afraid to try…
- Fergalicious by Fergie. Yep, it’s real.
- Little Jonathan Winery wines by Lil Jon. Crunk Juice was more than enough.
